Transit transport

A journey through multiple control points requires consistent coordination. SEALLOGS discusses transit solutions through Vietnam based on your route, cargo and delivery plans.

01

Clarify the journey before choosing a route

Transit transport requires consideration of origin, destination, border crossings and intermediate legs together. Feasibility depends on the cargo, vehicle conditions, documents and requirements at each point along the route.

SEALLOGS reviews requests to coordinate route checks and the stages through Vietnam. Each proposal requires separate confirmation; website destinations are not a commitment to accept every type of cargo at all times.

02

Connect vehicles and contact points

The journey may combine road transport, seaports or warehousing depending on the route. Handover locations, responsibilities and communication should be agreed before cargo starts moving.

  • Discuss route options and receiving and handover points.
  • Coordinate documentation information and transit formalities.
  • Connect transport legs and warehousing within the agreed scope.
  • Communicate schedule changes through the assigned contact.
03

Documents must match the actual cargo

Document details should be consistent with package counts, weight, cargo descriptions and the transport plan. Permit, supervision or specialised requirements must be checked for each case.

If a border crossing, vehicle, handover point or cargo description changes, notify the parties in advance so procedures and plans can be reassessed. Do not assume a previous arrangement is suitable for a new shipment.

04

Information for planning

  • Country of origin and destination, and proposed addresses or border crossings.
  • Cargo description, origin, package count, dimensions and total weight.
  • Cargo-ready date, delivery deadline and available documents.
  • Any transfer, storage, preservation or vehicle-change requirements.
05

Allow for transfer points

Time at border crossings and handover points can vary with documentation, working hours and operating conditions. The proposal should clarify expected milestones, arrangements for delays and how additional costs apply. These points should be agreed before cargo is accepted.
